Following the delivery of a first building in 2014, Axel’One continues the development of its collaborative innovation platform dedicated to innovative materials in Saint-Fons. A new 2,150 m² building was made available at the end of October, increasing the total area for research and experimentation.
Given the platform's success and growing demand, this expansion addresses the need for R&D infrastructure and supports the transition towards a more sustainable industry. The new four-level building includes laboratories, offices, and a technological hall to foster innovation and industrialization of processes, particularly for composites, biomaterials, and flexible-support materials.
The €12 million investment for this extension was led by SCI NovaOne Immo, a subsidiary of SERL Immo and Banque des Territoires. Construction, which began in March 2025, was completed on October 23, 2026, without delay. The building incorporates biodiversity-friendly features and site de-impermeabilization.
This real estate project supports public policies for economic activity and innovation. SERL Immo thus reaffirms its commitment to maintaining productive activities in urban centers and fostering regional development, such as in the Vallée de la Chimie.
