For this new edition, organizers are focusing on the diversity of local products and conviviality. Around a hundred exhibitors will present their specialties, ranging from black garlic from Saint-Étienne to pork quenelles from Saint-Genest-Malifaux, as well as liqueurs from Maurienne and cheeses from Auvergne. Numerous winegrowers from different French regions will also be present.
The entertainment program, curated by Cado Gourmand, will highlight various culinary skills. Jean-Claude Thomert will offer demonstrations on natural foods, Élodie Laval will prepare festive cocktails, and chef Mickaël Benessy will make a snail blanquette. Local pastry chefs La Cabosse and Maison Benedetti will collaborate to create the Tarte Costelloise, while Cédric Stalport will prepare a Sunday dessert.
A pastry competition, focused this year on apple cake, will bring together twenty amateurs, with an award ceremony scheduled for Saturday at 4 PM. The event, which attracted approximately 8,000 visitors last year, confirms its success thanks to the mobilization of volunteers from over 25 local associations, alongside the Festival Committee.
“"People like to get together, that's the fair's hallmark."
This conviviality is highlighted as the true signature of this gourmet gathering, which renews itself without losing its identity.
