The village of Méreuil and the event « Demain le Parc » (Tomorrow the Park) are destinations worth visiting. On Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 2 PM until the evening, the Syndicat mixte du Parc naturel régional (Mixed Syndicate of the Regional Natural Park) invites residents, young and old, to head to this village in the Baronnies provençales. The day promises to be free and friendly, featuring walks, talks, a collective mural, a show, and a grand debate, all aimed at taking time to collectively think about the future of the region.
This event marks a step on the long road towards the Baronnies provençales of tomorrow, a journey fully embraced by the Park's Mixed Syndicate. Following initial meetings with residents and young people, and four workshops held in June, Méreuil now serves as a stopover to appreciate the landscape and proceed at one's own pace.
Upon arrival, starting at 2 PM, a welcome coffee will be offered. Stands and a sensory trail will invite participants to share what they love about the area and what they would like to see evolve. A large collective mural depicting the Baronnies provençales of tomorrow will take shape throughout the day, allowing all ages to express their creativity. A guided walk will explore the landscape plan, followed by a discussion. A second talk will share eight future narratives and five major challenges born from the workshops. A third talk will focus on water, a concern shared by everyone.
The day will continue with offered snacks and a dinner aperitif, a free show, and a grand debate running until 10:30 PM. The Syndicat mixte du Parc naturel régional remains committed to its conviction: the future is built with those who live in and sustain the Baronnies provençales, not in their place.
The day's detailed schedule includes a coffee reception from 2 PM with a guided landscape walk. At 2:30 PM, discussions on the Baronnies provençales of tomorrow will begin, followed at 4 PM by a talk on natural risks. Snacks will be offered at 4:30 PM. From 5 PM to 6:30 PM, an Escape game « The Baronnies Provençales Facing Natural Risks » is available (registration recommended by contacting the Park at 04 75 26 70 05). An aperitif will be offered at 7 PM, and the show will start at 8 PM.
