The 22nd edition of the Beaujolais Marathon Ag2R La Mondiale, held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, emphasizes eco-responsibility with measures to reduce waste and improve water management.

The Communauté d’Agglomération Villefranche Beaujolais Saône (CAVBS) and the Communauté de Communes Saône Beaujolais (CCSB), along with volunteers, have educated participants on eco-responsible practices to limit the sporting event's environmental impact.
To reduce plastic waste, traditional bottles have been replaced by 10 water ramps, saving 22,000 plastic bottles and avoiding 1.7 tons of CO₂.
Enhanced waste sorting is also implemented along the course with 67 yellow bins for packaging, 20 grey bins for household waste, and 3 glass collection points installed at strategic locations such as the Parc Expo, avenue Joseph-Balloffet, and the cuvage de Lacenas.
This collective commitment aims to make this 22nd edition a sporting, popular, and eco-responsible celebration.
