Launched in 2024 by the DREETS Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, France Travail, the Missions Locales, and Cap Emploi, the Professional Immersion Month highlights the Professional Placement Period in a Work Environment (PMSMP). This program is an essential lever for the integration of young people and job seekers in the region.
The initiative invites business leaders to open their doors to showcase their professions and expertise. Whether lasting a day, a week, or a month, these immersions allow for a concrete discovery of a job's reality and confirmation of a professional project. For companies, it's a unique opportunity to attract new talent and prepare for future recruitment, with administrative procedures handled by the referring organizations.
This third edition, taking place from October 1st to 31st, 2026, will feature a strengthened focus on the industrial sector. In collaboration with economic partners, OPCOs, professional branches and federations, professional organizations, CCI (Chambers of Commerce and Industry), and companies, the goal is to increase immersion opportunities and better promote industrial professions.
Numerous regional events are planned to foster encounters between companies and candidates. The "Vis ma vie" Immersion Challenge will allow volunteer companies to offer immersive experiences and video reports. The 2025 edition saw nearly 46,000 immersions completed and over 300 events organized.
The platform immersion-facile.beta.gouv.fr facilitates all online procedures. Professional immersion serves as a genuine stepping stone to employment, helping many candidates confirm their projects and secure jobs.
