From October 5 to 18, 2026, Mond’Arverne Communauté celebrates the 37th edition of the Mental Health Information Weeks (SISM), highlighting the power of artistic expression on psychological well-being through a program of free activities.

Art, whether practiced, discovered, or contemplated, plays a crucial role in the prevention and care of mental health, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). It helps reduce stress, strengthen social bonds, combat isolation, and promote recovery.
As part of the departmental initiative and the Local Health Contract (CLS) of Mond’Arverne Communauté, numerous events are organized throughout the territory. The photo exhibition "Le Reflet de nos Âmes" (The Reflection of our Souls) will be continuously displayed from October 5 to 16 at the Espace Loisirs in Aydat.
The program includes free dance workshops in Vic-le-Comte (October 6) and La Roche-Blanche (October 12), poetic readings for babies ("Bébés Nomades" in Manglieu on October 7, "Rencontres musicales" in La Sauvetat on October 14, "Bébés lecteurs" in Vic-le-Comte on October 16), and a chess initiation in Les Martres-de-Veyre (October 8).
Workshops exploring music and mental health are scheduled in Saint-Georges-sur-Allier (October 10), while family activities like Land Art are offered in La Roche-Blanche (October 14). Documentary screenings, including "Un voyage vers la mémoire" (A Journey Towards Memory) in La Roche-Blanche (October 14) and "Là où le ciel est bleu" (Where the Sky is Blue) in Aydat (October 15), will address mental health disorders and memory.
Information evenings for parents and teenagers ("Parents & teens: let's talk about it" in Orcet on October 16) and a screening of the film "Les Rêves dansants : sur les pas de Pina Bausch" (Dancing Dreams: In the Footsteps of Pina Bausch) in Vic-le-Comte (October 21) complete the schedule.
A traveling departmental exhibition, "Les Mains de l’Amitié" (The Hands of Friendship), resulting from a creative challenge by students from Puy-de-Dôme, will also be presented, addressing friendship and the mental health of young people.
