The town of Saint-Éloy-les-Mines celebrated the very first edition of Répar’Actions en Combrailles, held at La Roche primary school. This event, entirely focused on repair, reuse, and waste reduction, attracted a large audience throughout the day.
Visitors explored various workshops, watched practical demonstrations, and enjoyed the gratiferia, a space for giving everyday objects a second life. The initiative was praised by local officials, including Mayor Philippe Comte, and partners like Bernard Bouleau, president of SICTOM des Combrailles.
A creative contest titled 'Create your reuse superhero!' highlighted the imagination of children. Numerous original characters, made from recovered materials, were presented, showcasing the boundless creativity of the young participants.
The City of Saint-Éloy-les-Mines extended warm thanks to the SICTOM des Combrailles for organizing the event, as well as to all the speakers, volunteers, families, and the Youth Municipal Council (CMJ) and its facilitator Isabelle for their valuable involvement.
This concrete, useful, and friendly awareness action emphasizes the importance of adopting good habits to reduce daily waste.
