The Handifoot in Combrailles event took place this Saturday in Saint-Éloy-les-Mines, offering a rich program of sporting and festive activities. From the morning, Rémy Durin stadium hosted a training session and demonstration of amputee football by the athletes of the KS Académie.
The afternoon continued in a festive atmosphere with performances by majorettes, Dynamik, and La Joliphée, as well as the presence of Misses. A key moment of exchange on disability, handisport, resilience, and self-improvement took place at 4 PM in the gymnasium, with members of the KS Académie present.
In the evening, the stadium came alive for the gala match between the KS Académie and the Football Club Féminin des Combrailles, a moment of sport and sharing enjoyed by a large audience. The day concluded with a lottery draw and a dance party hosted by DJ Jean-Laurent.
The event was attended by several local officials, including Philippe Comte, mayor of Saint-Éloy-les-Mines, Jonathan Auzel, first deputy mayor, Sylvain Durin, regional councilor for Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, and Jérôme Gaumet, departmental councilor and president of the Communauté de communes du Pays de Saint-Éloy.
The City of Saint-Éloy-les-Mines warmly thanked all contributors: the athletes and staff of the KS Académie, the Football Club Féminin des Combrailles, the association Les Petits Cœurs Menatois, the volunteers, artists, associations, as well as local partners and businesses, notably Bar-Tabac La Boule, O Mana, and Chez Mel.
The event once again highlighted the role of sport as a catalyst for encounters, respect, solidarity, and inclusion.
