During the community council meeting on Monday, October 12th, elected officials from Le Grésivaudan marked a significant step in the governance of their territory. Following the renewal of municipal councils, the intercommunal body has officially initiated the creation of a Governance Pact. This strategic document aims to more precisely define the relationships between the intercommunal structure and its 43 member municipalities, while strengthening the involvement of local elected officials in community decision-making processes.
This Pact, provided for by the "Engagement et proximité" law of 2019, seeks to establish clear and transparent operating procedures and dialogue. It is intended to ensure shared governance, based on close association with the municipalities. The initiative will be led by Clément Bonnet, delegate for territorial dialogue, with support from Patrick Beau for institutional partnerships. A dedicated commission for territorial dialogue will serve as a forum for proposals, while the Conference of Mayors will debate the content, before the Executive Bureau makes a final decision. The draft will then be submitted to the municipal councils for their opinion before adoption.
Concurrently, Le Grésivaudan has reaffirmed its commitment to video protection by renewing mutualization agreements with volunteer municipalities. This policy, initiated in 2018, allows for the pooling of equipment and resources, and strengthens cooperation with the gendarmerie. Currently, 15 municipalities benefit from this shared system, centralizing images in an intercommunal urban supervision center. The intercommunal body manages the system and owns the video protection equipment deployed. Other municipalities, such as Bernin and Le Touvet, are expected to join this initiative soon, further enhancing security at the intercommunal level.
It is also noted that Pierre-Jean Crespeau has joined as a new community councilor, following the resignation of Adelin Javet and a change in the municipal council of Crolles.
