THD38 (Isère Fibre), the infrastructure operator for the fiber network deployed notably in Crêts en Belledonne, has initiated a departmental program to enhance the quality and resilience of this network. The municipality is involved for a period of two months, potentially extendable to a maximum of three.
During this program, the commercialization of addresses will be temporarily suspended to stabilize the network for inspections. No new subscriptions will be possible, and existing customers cannot switch operators. Active subscriptions, ongoing orders, connections, and repairs for subscribers experiencing outages are not affected.
Technicians from ERT Technologies, a subcontractor of THD38, will conduct signal quality measurements on unused fibers. These measurements will not impact active customers.
If improvements are deemed necessary, field interventions may occur to redo fiber splices. These operations, which can last from a few hours to two weeks, will cause service disruptions for some customers, as each repaired fiber restores service for one client.
THD38 will provide advance notice to commercial operators (Bouygues, Free, Orange, Rézine, SFR), who are responsible for communicating with their customers and providing backup connection solutions, especially for business clients.
Finally, the last phase will involve harmonizing IT systems between THD38 and the commercial operators, during which commercialization will remain closed.
