The municipalities of Saint-Julien and Viry are organizing the Apple and Sharing Festival, an autumn event designed to raise funds to support various charitable associations working in the Saint-Julien canton, including ALFAA, Una Terra, and Secours Catholique.
Volunteers will be busy collecting apples on Wednesday, followed by traditional pressing using manual presses starting Friday. This event is intended as a convivial moment of sharing in the village square, where visitors can enjoy lunch on-site and purchase freshly pressed apple juice.
The festival's program includes the pressing and sale of fresh apple juice, as well as a meal featuring diots cooked on-site. Takeaway sales of fresh apple juice will also be available.
