Syane, in partnership with SECURE4GOOD and Altitude Infra Haute-Savoie, is testing an innovative alert device for victims of violence, utilizing the LoRaWAN network.

On the occasion of the 2026 Protection and Rescue World Expo, Syane is experimenting with an alert system for victims of violence. This project, carried out with SECURE4GOOD and Altitude Infra Haute-Savoie, uses the LoRaWAN network to allow a person in danger to discreetly trigger an alert without using a mobile phone.
The device developed by SECURE4GOOD is a discreet and autonomous alert button. It allows a victim to signal distress by simply pressing a button, independent of their mobile phone. The signal is transmitted via Syane's public LoRaWAN network, offering an alternative when phone use is difficult, impossible, or could further expose the victim.
This experiment aims to verify the compatibility of the SECURE4GOOD device with the Syane's LoRaWAN network, deployed by Altitude Infra Haute-Savoie. It will also identify the necessary conditions for its use in the region.
The LoRaWAN network has potential for various sectors such as security, prevention, environment, energy, or public services. This initiative illustrates how this technology can meet concrete needs and develop new services for the inhabitants of Haute-Savoie.
