Due to the degradation of water resources, the town hall of Vétraz-Monthoux has decided to close several public water points starting October 1, 2026.

Flow rates in the lower Arve river are registering very low levels, while other sectors of the department show no improvement. Faced with this degradation, the lower Arve sector is placed in a crisis situation (level 4/4) starting Thursday, October 1st. Restriction measures are also extended until October 31, 2026 in the sectors of the Dranses, Chéran, and Usses rivers.
Consequently, and in order to preserve water, the town hall of Vétraz-Monthoux has decided to cut off the supply to the following water points:
• the fountain located in the grassy rotunda of the Centre-Bourg
• the water point at the cemetery
The town hall thanks citizens for their understanding.
