The objective of this project is to widen the road to facilitate the maneuvers and crossing of public transport vehicles, as the current intersection is undersized for buses to turn and cross other vehicles under good conditions.
The works will be carried out in two phases. The first stage, scheduled from October 26 to November 30, 2026, will include tree felling, construction of the new wall, and installation of networks. The second phase will begin in April 2027 with the demolition of the old wall, network connections, road resurfacing, and sidewalk widening.
During the first phase, the works will not directly affect the public roadway, thus limiting the impact on traffic. However, alternating traffic will be implemented periodically, with temporary road closures when necessary to ensure user safety. Some parking spaces downstream of the intersection may also be temporarily removed.
On Wednesdays, the day of the weekly market, the works will be organized to minimize traffic constraints as much as possible.
