To mark the National Air Quality Day, Grand Annecy is inviting the public to a screening and debate centered around the documentary film « Notre Air ». The event will take place on October 16th at 6:30 PM at the Auditorium in Seynod. Admission is free.
The documentary explores the air we breathe, which is invisible yet crucial for our health and quality of life. It addresses the issue of air pollution, even at high altitudes, where particles can travel into mountain ranges.
The 52-minute film follows high-level athletes—skiers, trail runners, paragliders, and mountaineers—equipped with micro-sensors to measure air quality in the heart of the Alps. It features insights from scientists, citizens, associations, and elected officials, offering a practical understanding of mountain air quality and preservation challenges.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with Guillaume Brulfert, territorial correspondent for Atmo Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, and Dr. Patrick Lemettre, vice-president of the Réseau Environnement Santé. This will be an opportunity to ask questions about local air quality and necessary preservation actions.
« Notre Air » is a co-production by Inuaprod and Une Bouteille à la Mer. 50% of the re-diffusion rights will be donated to the association Une Bouteille à la Mer.
