A European subsidy of €200,248 has been granted to support the municipality in this major project, representing 35% of eligible expenses. These works aim to make the school more energy-efficient, eliminate greenhouse gas emissions, and improve occupant comfort.
The renovation will cover several aspects of the building: improved thermal insulation for exterior walls and interior false ceilings, replacement of windows with high-performance double-glazed units, switching from natural gas heating to decarbonized energy with heat pumps, installation of smart thermostats in each classroom, adapted ventilation with energy recovery, and replacement of lighting with more energy-efficient LEDs.
The objective is to reduce primary energy consumption by over 40% while enhancing the comfort of children and educational staff.
Thanks to this aid, Chavanod has successfully completed this essential project for the future, continuing the modernization of its public facilities while controlling investment and operating costs. This initiative aligns with the municipality's commitment to reducing energy consumption, lowering running costs, contributing to greenhouse gas emission reduction, and sustainably improving user reception conditions in its buildings.
