This Thursday, October 29, 2026, the commune of Saint-Pal-de-Mons celebrated its traditional friendship day, on the occasion of the end-of-year meal offered to seniors by the CCAS, bringing together 75 seniors and 14 EHPAD residents.

At the Feuillantines restaurant-hotel, 75 seniors from the commune, aged 75 to 99, and 14 EHPAD residents gathered from 11:30 AM for a warm and friendly moment. This meal, usually held at Christmas, is organized in October to avoid winter weather. Those over 75 can choose to attend or receive a voucher.
The mayor, accompanied by his deputies and CCAS members, was present to support the guests and highlight the importance of this event in combating isolation and maintaining community ties.
The menu featured autumnal flavors: mushroom royale, black pudding and quince tart, pressed pork, poultry ballotine, butternut squash fondant, followed by cheese or fresh cheese, and a gourmet plate.
Music enlivened the day, inviting participants to dance to waltzes and tangos, creating a festive and cheerful atmosphere.
Laurent Wauquiez, president of the Region, also attended following the inauguration of renovation work at the Feuillantines. He addressed the guests to present the Region's Pass seniors, offering discounts on activities and services for those over 65.
The Region donated card mats and 54-card decks. This day, focused on friendship and good food, reflects the attention of the CCAS of Saint-Pal-de-Mons towards its seniors.
