As part of its Climate Plan, the Communauté de communes Dombes Saône Vallée (CCDSV) encourages the planting of hedges and the creation of ponds, essential natural environments for biodiversity.

These small natural environments play a vital role in biodiversity, offering habitats and water sources for numerous species such as amphibians, insects, and small mammals. Ponds also contribute to water management through their storage capacity and their role in regulating runoff.
In Villeneuve, a resident has committed to this initiative by creating a pond on her land. Her goal is to promote local biodiversity and instill in younger generations a taste for observation and respect for nature.

This operation is carried out by the CCDSV with financial support from the Agence de l’eau Rhône Méditerranée Corse and the Département de l’Ain.
