The Bugey-Sud intercommunal community is launching its 2026-2027 territorial artistic residency, a collective initiative centered on food, know-how, and stories shared at the table.

The Bugey-Sud intercommunal community, in partnership with the artistic company Les Passeurs, is launching its territorial artistic residency for the 2026-2027 period. This initiative is conceived as an artistic, culinary, and human adventure, inviting local residents and structures to participate in a collective creation focused on food, know-how, and stories transmitted at the table.
The launch of this residency will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, at Place des Terreaux in Belley, as part of the Épicuriennes event. For this first stage, the company Les Passeurs will present its Gastrosophie Mobile. Three chefs will engage with residents for a gourmet and poetic exploration, featuring songs, games about food, culinary memories, and short stories. Participants will be encouraged to share their recipes and skills, which will feed into the project.
From March to June 2027, the residency will continue with the Marmite Mobile (Mobile Pot). This traveling device will tour the different living areas of Bugey-Sud, reaching out to residents in their local spaces: squares, courtyards, markets, or local gatherings. The aim will be to cook with local products, record stories and recipes, and share the prepared meals. Workshops on cooking, decoration, public speaking, and artistic creation will also be offered.
All these encounters will culminate in the Grande Tablée (Grand Table), scheduled for June 11, 2027. This artistic banquet will bring together residents, artists, and partners around a 100-meter-long table. The stories, recipes, gestures, and flavors collected throughout the tour will be staged in a dinner-show blending table art, live performance, and visual arts.
The Marmite Mobile outings and workshops are free and open to everyone. For more information on the dates of upcoming events, consult the website of the Bugey-Sud intercommunal community. To participate, contact the company Les Passeurs at 07 69 10 89 33.
