The Bourg-Saint-Maurice Tarentaise Hospital Center, the Haute Tarentaise Community of Communes, and several municipalities have officially established the GIP Restauration Haute Tarentaise, a new public organization aimed at ensuring the sustainability and pooling of meal production.

The constitutive General Assembly of the GIP Restauration Haute Tarentaise was held on October 29, 2026, marking a significant step for the region and its residents, especially children. This new public organization aims to ensure the provision of meals, particularly for school catering.
The GIP comprises the Centre Hospitalier de Bourg Saint-Maurice Tarentaise, the Communauté de Communes de Haute Tarentaise, the CCAS of the Commune of Bourg Saint-Maurice, and the communes of Séez, Montvalezan, Les Chapelles, Peisey-Nancroix, and Landry.
This new legal framework replaces periodic meal supply contracts. It will ensure the long-term sustainability of meal production and delivery, pool resources for future investments such as the construction of a central kitchen, and guarantee compliance with legal obligations, including the EGALIM law and food quality standards.
Special thanks were extended to the Centre Hospitalier de Bourg-Saint-Maurice for its involvement in this project.
