Launched in 2024, the planning for a Social Living Space (EVS) is progressing in Montmélian. The goal is to establish a local hub that fosters encounters and exchanges among residents, with a particular emphasis on families. A public meeting will be held on Monday, November 16th, allowing citizens to get informed and share their views.
This future EVS, open to all, aims to be a place for listening and support, as well as a space for sharing through workshops, festive events, and collective projects, all conceived for and with the residents.
Initiated by the City Council, this project is being developed with the support of a consultant. Working groups, comprising elected officials, municipal services, associations, and institutional partners, were established in the spring of 2026. A questionnaire was also distributed to identify residents' needs and expectations for this new space.
The outcomes of this work will define the social project's content, which will be reviewed by the CAF (Family Allowance Fund) in early 2027 for approval. The future Social Living Space is expected to open in 2027. Initially located in the « Manoir » premises, it may later move to a soon-to-be-renovated space near the future Health Center, in the heart of the Capucins district.
Come and learn about and discuss the future Social Living Space at the public meeting on Monday, November 16th, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the Ecole Jean Moulin (school cafeteria).
