Ecological developments at Savoie Technolac: young trees, ecological pond, and freshness islands.

The Savoie Technolac site inaugurated on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, new developments aimed at promoting local biodiversity, creating freshness islands, and improving rainwater management.

These ecological developments, designed to enhance the site's resilience to climate change, include the planting of 895 young trees across 2 micro-forests, 31 additional trees, 3 rainwater stocks, 2 rain trees, as well as the creation of an ecological pond and 2 Benjes hedges.
The inauguration, attended by Julien Pailhère, Secretary General of the Prefecture, featured two guided tours. Led by the company Gonthier and an ecologist, these tours explained the objectives and expected benefits of these initiatives. The municipality of Le Bourget-du-Lac was represented by its Mayor and Vice-President of Grand Lac, Nicolas Mercat, and Anne Chatillon, Deputy Mayor for Tourism and Commerce and Community Councilor for Grand Lac.
The project, with a total cost of €92,951 HT, benefited from shared funding. The Prefect of Savoie, the Fonds Vert, and France Nation Verte supported the initiative with €37,180 HT (40%). The remaining €55,770 HT was financed by Chambéry-Grand Lac économie, the contracting authority.
These achievements are part of the Savoie Technolac 2050 project, launched in 2022. This ambitious project aims to transform the technopole into a more sustainable, innovative, and vibrant space, focusing on four priorities: development, mobility, biodiversity, and activities.
