Facing the issue of social and territorial inequalities in the fight against overweight and obesity, the PACAP program (Promotion of Balanced Eating and Physical Activity) aims to prevent these disorders from the earliest age in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. This program targets children aged 0 to 6 and encourages primary prevention actors to consider reducing social health inequalities.
In the Albertville area, several activities are organized through local partnerships. While most are intended for children and parents of early childhood services in settings such as school canteens, leisure centers, social associations, and preschools in priority neighborhoods, some are open to a wider audience.
The program begins on Wednesday, October 7, with a family cooking workshop "Sweet Cookies" at the Maison de Quartier du Champ de Mars, free upon registration. October 12 to 16 will feature special menus "1 day, 1 color" in school canteens and activities at the Le Carrousel nursery (smell lottery, magic sand, food painting).
Taste Week will continue in the Champ de Mars and Louis Pasteur preschools from October 12 to 16, with cooking and tasting workshops based on the theme of colors, even encouraging children to wear clothing of the day's color.
On Wednesday, October 14, several workshops on nutrition will take place at the Maison communale du Parc, addressing the theme from different angles (readings, games, vegetable ink painting) for children hosted by the leisure center, the association Ma Chance Moi Aussi, and SASEP.
A "Chouette en toque" (Owl in a chef's hat) cinema-snack event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 14, at the Dôme Cinéma, followed by a fun activity with a dietitian on the theme of a balanced snack using colorful, seasonal local products. A reading session on nutrition is also planned for Thursday, October 15, at the Champ de Mars preschool.
Finally, on Monday, October 19, Albertville's youth service is organizing "Lance tes vacances" (Launch Your Holidays) at the Gymnase de la Combe de Savoie, including a sensory approach to bird feeding. On Thursday, October 22, a "Murder Party" titled "Investigation in the Fridge" is offered for children accompanied by Ma Chance Moi Aussi.
