The Communauté de communes - Lac d'Aiguebelette (CCLA), in collaboration with the mayors of the lakeside municipalities, held a meeting on Thursday, October 15, to evaluate the 2026 summer season around the lake. The objective was to draw up an initial assessment of the security measures implemented, bringing together representatives from the gendarmerie, SDIS (firefighters), the guards of the Regional Natural Reserve, AREA, and security agents.
The meeting was held under the authority of the Director of the Cabinet of the Prefect of Savoie, who coordinates the deployment of law enforcement forces across the department's territories. This review highlighted improvements in managing visitor flows and preserving the lake's natural environment.
However, recurring problems related to incivilities and certain behaviors were noted, particularly during the weekends from late May to late June. Beyond these observations and a reminder of the importance of the mobilized resources, the meeting also aimed to discuss avenues for improvement.
Evolutions and optimization of the security system are planned for the 2027 season. The CCLA will communicate on these additional measures once they have been finalized and approved.
