On Thursday, October 8, 2026, Grand Chambéry hosted the third annual Urban Policy Meetings at Le Scarabée, gathering stakeholders and residents to discuss issues in priority neighborhoods.

Organized as part of the 'Engagements Quartiers 2030' City Contract, the event focused on sharing experiences and joint reflection on the challenges facing priority neighborhoods. The morning began with an update on the local Urban Policy Observatory, including the presentation of the resident barometer, with input from residents who participated in the questionnaire. This tool aims to better understand lived realities in the neighborhoods and inform public action.
Participants then discussed the challenges of ecological transition in priority neighborhoods during a presentation by Banlieues Climat. A discussion session allowed for the exchange of experiences on making ecological transition accessible to all. Lunch, prepared by young people with disabilities from the OVE Fondation, also provided a convivial moment for further exchanges.
Mental health was a central theme in the afternoon sessions, facilitated by Grand Chambéry with partners of the City Contract. Several stakeholders were present: representatives from the State and the City of Chambéry, the Local Mental Health Council (CLSM), ADDCAES, the Chambéry Health Center (leading the Health City Workshop - ASV), and Promotion Santé. Discussions covered the place of mental health in neighborhoods, who can act, influencing factors, existing resources, as well as stigmatization and the determinants of mental health.
Presentations by the ASV, ADDCAES, and CLSM highlighted the importance of a collective and partnership-based approach to mental health and helped identify existing networks and resources in the area. A key objective of these meetings is to enable stakeholders to get to know each other better, share experiences, and collaborate to strengthen intervention synergies for the benefit of residents and contribute to the success of the 'Engagements Quartiers 2030' City Contract.
