The Maison des Arts des Versants d’Aime is hosting the photographic exhibition « Ombres de Pierres » until November 26, highlighting remarkable stones from the region.

On Friday, September 18, the Maison des Arts des Versants d’Aime inaugurated its new exhibition titled « Ombres de Pierres ». This photographic exhibition, running until November 26, shines a spotlight on remarkable stones from the territory.
It features elements such as engraved lintels, millstones, cupule stones, Roman inscriptions, shepherd's graffiti, crosses, and calvaries. The exhibition serves as an invitation to (re)discover these stones that mark the landscape, through artistic and documentary photographs by Frédéric Gaufillet, Jérémy Martoïa, Éliane Pellicier, and Antoine Simon-Chautemps. It was created in partnership with the Mairie d’Aime-la-Plagne.
Alongside the exhibition, a guided walk through the town center of Aime was offered during the European Heritage Days. Approximately forty participants took part in this event, orchestrated by Pascal Laillé, head of the Maison des Arts des Versants d’Aime.
This walk, which started at the mill located at the top of Avenue de Tarentaise and concluded at the archaeological museum, passing by the Château Montmayeur, allowed participants to gain a new perspective on the surrounding heritage and discover some often-unknown details.
