The Vinatier Hospital Center has commissioned SEM SERL for technical assistance in constructing a new building in Rillieux-la-Pape. This project aims to meet the growing demand for psychiatric care for young people aged 0 to 18 by consolidating services currently spread across multiple sites.
The new Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (PEA) center will accommodate approximately 1,200 children and adolescents annually. It will be structured into four departments: Perinatality – Early Childhood (0-6 years), Trauma, Childhood, Anxiety Disorders (6-12 years), Adolescence and Transition (12-18 years), and Screening and management of neurodevelopmental disorders and autism spectrum disorder (1-18 years).
The building, with a total area of 1,966 m² SDP, will feature a central courtyard and rise over two levels. It will incorporate sustainable construction principles, including bio-sourced materials and photovoltaic panels on the technical roof terrace. Large gardens accessible to patients are also planned.
The design-build contract was awarded in late April 2026 to a consortium led by MAZAUD Construction and the architecture firm CENT7. The building permit was obtained on September 21st. Construction is expected to begin in late January 2027, with project completion anticipated in 2028.
The investment amounts to €8.1 million TDC. SEM SERL's mission encompasses all project phases, from design to maintenance, aiming to create a protective and welcoming environment.
