On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, La Maison Cachou, an intercommunal nursery of the Communauté d’Agglomération Villefranche Beaujolais Saône, is highlighting its essential role in early childhood care. Opened in September 2006, the facility welcomes 36 children, supported by a team of 14 professionals.
Each day is designed to foster the development of the youngest children through playful, exploratory, and experimental activities. The nursery features a Snoezelen-inspired sensory space, offering a calming environment conducive to sensory discovery with dimmed lighting and soft music.
Over the years, the premises have evolved to improve reception conditions, including the installation of air conditioning and renovation of changing rooms. A project for plantings in the garden is also planned, allowing children to discover nature.
La Maison Cachou also fosters connections with families. Events such as the clothing and toy swap, organized twice a year, encourage parent interaction and give a second life to items.
The facility's history dates back to 1995 with the opening of « Le Moulin aux contes ». Due to increasing demand, the new La Maison Cachou nursery opened its doors in 2006. In 2015, it became an intercommunal facility for the 18 municipalities in the area. To celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026, a show followed by a festive event themed around the circus is planned.
