Starting at 10 a.m., a commemorative ceremony for the Armistice of the First World War will be held. The Union Française des Anciens Combattants (UFAC) and the Municipality invite the public to participate. The Association musicale de Vaulx-en-Velin, collège Pierre Valdo, and école élémentaire Martin Luther King will be present.
The morning program will include the laying of wreaths at the foot of the Henri Barbusse stele, located on the Esplanade de Verdun at 55 rue de la République, at 10 a.m. At 10:30 a.m., a ceremony will take place at the Monument aux Morts (War Memorial) on Place Gilbert Dru.

In the afternoon, the Les Amphis cinema will offer a special program dedicated to the First World War. At 1:45 p.m., the film "Joyeux Noël" by Christian Carion will be screened, exploring the war's impact on soldiers and their loved ones. At 6 p.m., the film "Justin le Juste" by Éric Barbier will be shown, telling the story of a peasant's revolt against the injustices of the conflict.
