INSA Lyon and H7, a responsible accelerator in the Metropolis of Lyon, are launching Empr&intes, a continuing education program for engineers and executives aiming to lead technological projects with a strong socio-ecological impact.

This strategic partnership, the result of three years of collaboration, leverages the academic excellence of INSA Lyon and the entrepreneurial dynamism of H7. The program addresses the aspiration of professionals to give new meaning to their careers and the need for companies to accelerate their ecological, digital, and societal transitions.
"With Empr&intes, INSA Lyon strengthens its commitment to impact-driven technological entrepreneurship," stated Frédéric Fotiadu, Director General of INSA Lyon. He highlighted the choice to co-build this project with H7 to benefit from its ecosystem's engagement in socio-ecological and digital transitions.
Empr&intes aims to foster about ten innovative projects annually, ready for deployment or support by the region's incubation and acceleration structures. The one-year, full-time, in-person training is based on a hands-on approach: a real project as a learning driver, structured in four phases: Transitions, Emergence, Structuring, and Consolidation.
Two pathways are offered: an entrepreneurial track for those wishing to create their own company, and an intrapreneurial track for internal talents tasked with developing new activities within their organizations.
At the launch event, held on Thursday, September 24, at the I-Factory on the Doua Lyon Tech campus, nearly 70 people were present. Frédéric Fotiadu and Julien Marbouty, Director of H7, emphasized the urgency of transitions and the strength of the Lyon ecosystem.
Sophie Blachère, Regional Councilor for the Campus Région du numérique Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, recalled that this training is part of a collective dynamic to address climate and societal challenges, thereby reinforcing the region's position as a hub for innovation and business transformation.
