The City of Lyon has launched a call for applications for the "Annie and Régis Neyret" Heritage Citizens Award, recognizing local actions for safeguarding and enhancing its historical heritage. The deadline is Thursday, November 26, 2026.

Beyond its active heritage policy, the City recognizes the importance of safeguarding its historical heritage through citizen mobilization. This award aims to support remarkable commitments and reward local actions, whether in restoration, historical research, knowledge dissemination, or the valorization of know-how related to Lyon's historical treasures.
Neighborhood councils are encouraged to apply, leveraging their in-depth knowledge of local territories and heritage. Many have already engaged with heritage issues, including developing heritage guides and organizing tours. This award presents a valuable opportunity to highlight these initiatives.
The call for applications is open until Thursday, November 26, 2026, at 12 PM. The project's participatory, civic, and solidarity-based dimension, as well as efforts to raise public awareness, will be considered. Attention to partnerships will also distinguish candidates.
The jury, chaired by Aline Guitard, Deputy Mayor for Memories, Cultural Heritage, Funerary Affairs, and Veterans, includes representatives from the City of Lyon's Directorate of Cultural Affairs and Urban Planning, the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs, a key figure from the associative sector, and qualified personalities from the heritage and tourism fields.
The award comes with a budget of between €5,000 and €10,000. The jury reserves the right to grant one or more awards and set their monetary values within this budget.
The "Annie & Régis Neyret" Heritage Citizens Award ceremony will take place during the "Rendez-vous du patrimoine" (Heritage Meetings), organized by the City of Lyon in March 2027.
