On the occasion of October Rose, a month dedicated to raising awareness for breast cancer screening, the town of L'Arbresle is offering a program of various activities. An art exhibition and sale, an auction, pink Zumba, and awareness stands will mark this solidarity mobilization. All proceeds will be donated to the League Against Cancer – Rhône Committee.
From October 16 to 31, the exhibition hall of the Médiathèque (Media Library) will host a solidarity exhibition and sale of artworks. This initiative will feature creations by the Union Arbresloise, Christelle Larson and her students, Yvette Fragne, residents of La Madeleine, and the painting school of Savigny, among others. The opening reception, hosted by Éric Merceron, will take place on Friday, October 16 at 7 PM, followed by an auction allowing visitors to bid on and acquire artworks while supporting a good cause.
On Wednesday, October 28, a pink Zumba evening will be held from 7 PM to 8:30 PM in the Salle Claude Terrasse. Led by professional instructors in partnership with the association GAL’A, this dance session invites participants to move for a good cause, with an entrance fee of €8.
Finally, an awareness stand on self-palpation will be available with the Communauté Professionnelle Territoriale de Santé (CPTS) des Monts du Lyonnais. The aim is to teach the correct techniques, recognize warning signs, and provide information on prevention.
