In autumn 2026, the City of Genas reaffirms its commitment to the fight against cancer in collaboration with local associations, Activ’Genas, and the Firefighters' Association. This solidarity initiative will begin on September 27, 2026, with participation in the La Scintillante race and walk.
Residents, associations, volunteers, and partners are invited to gather for various awareness and fundraising actions aimed at supporting medical research and those affected by the disease.
Key events in the program include: on September 27, 2026, participation in La Scintillante; on October 3, 2026, a Drawing Marathon at La Colandière; on October 10, 2026, a solidarity concert presented by Homebird at the town hall atrium and the Neutrino hall.
On October 11, 2026, the Place de la République will host a meal sale with ACtiv’Genas, a painting sale with Courants d’art, a cake sale by the Chorale Melodia, and a sale of cushions, bags, and kits by Aiguilles en or. In the afternoon, from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., the Salle Le Genêt will offer board games and a tombola organized by Les Jeux Nassiens.
Other activities are planned: on October 16, 2026, a snack sale for children in schools by the AGAF; on October 18, 2026, a praline sale by the Staff Association on the Place de la République; on October 24, 2026, a 'GRS en famille' session with ESGA GRS at the Salle P. Pervangher.
In November, a badminton tournament will take place on November 3, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., organized by ESGA Badminton at the Salle P. Pervangher. On November 28, 2026, a giant Qi Gong Workshop will be open to all with L’Énergie du mouvement at the M. Gonzales complex.
Finally, on December 5, 2026, the Twinning Committee will have a stand at the Christmas market in the Halle Ronshausen. The city announces that other initiatives will enrich this program in the coming weeks.
