The municipality of Francheville is launching the creation of a pedestrian and cycle path between Bruissin and Arpinières, requiring a temporary closure starting October 14, 2026.

Starting Wednesday, October 14, 2026, the current path between the Bruissin road and Rue des Arpinières will be closed for approximately three weeks. This closure is necessary for construction work to create a new route dedicated to pedestrians and cyclists.
This new development, featuring permeable paving, will directly connect two sectors of Francheville-le-Haut that currently lack a direct cross-link. It will notably improve access to the facilities of the Bruissin park, including the football field and play areas, as well as to the C20 bus stops on Rue des Arpinières, thereby enhancing daily travel by foot and bicycle.
The project also includes the installation of adapted public lighting, 4 meters high, to enhance user comfort and safety, especially at night. Lighting work has already commenced.
This initiative, aimed at promoting soft mobility and strengthening connections between neighborhoods, public facilities, and public transport, is supported by a grant of €96,000 from the Métropole de Lyon.
