An express bus project between Pontgibaud and Clermont-Ferrand is under study, aiming to improve daily travel in the region.

As part of the SERM Clermont-Auvergne project, led by the State and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, a new express bus line is being considered between Pontgibaud and Clermont-Ferrand. This initiative could serve towns such as Volvic, offer a connection to Riom, and reach several areas of Clermont-Ferrand, notably passing through Gerzat-Ladoux.
The main objective of this project is to facilitate residents' daily commutes, whether for work, study, shopping, or accessing various services. The Chavanon Combrailles et Volcans Community of Communes wishes to gather citizens' opinions to better understand their needs.
To this end, a questionnaire is available to gather information on preferred destinations, desired schedules, and bus frequency. Participation takes only five minutes. It is important to note that this line is currently only under study and its creation is not yet confirmed.
