As part of the European ARTEMIS project, the University Clermont Auvergne (UCA) hosted a delegation of three researchers from the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) on September 22 and 23, 2026. This visit is part of the work packages focused on developing innovative learning pathways and strengthening the intercultural dimension of the student experience.
The discussions involved key representatives from both institutions, including Ms. Cécilia Brassier (Professor of Information and Communication Sciences at UCA), Ms. Charlotte Legrand (Head of European and International Territorial Action for the City of Clermont-Ferrand), Franck-Olivier Schmitt (Director of University and Culture Services at UCA), and Agathe Féoux (Project Manager for Cultures en Commun at UCA). Representatives from the Directorate of International Relations and Francophonie, involved in ARTEMIS actions, were also present.
The talks addressed the practices of both universities regarding intercultural skills, student mobility support systems, the development of a digital tool for mobility projects, and the creation of new preparatory modules for incoming and outgoing students. Participants also explored local initiatives led by the City of Clermont-Ferrand.
These exchanges facilitated a collective reflection on the role of interculturality in European higher education and on strategies to better prepare students for international and multicultural environments.
