As part of its health prevention initiatives, the municipality of Beaumont actively supports the annual international campaign Pink October. This initiative aims to raise women's awareness about breast cancer screening and to collect essential funds for medical research.
Throughout the month of October, several local associations in Beaumont will host a series of events. These gatherings, organized by numerous volunteers, are open to everyone, whether with family, alone, or with friends, to support this important cause.
Among the planned initiatives: the association A Tout Cœur will hold a sale of flowers and various items on the Mairie's forecourt on October 3rd (from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM). On October 10th, the association Krav Maga Beaumont will offer a workshop for women at the Espace Daupeyroux, located at 18 rue de la Victoire.
On the same day, October 10th, US Beaumont Basket will liven up the Halle des Sports de la Mourette with a special match, pink accessories, and participation in the « Générose » challenge. On October 11th, the club Judo Beaumont Amicale Laïque will organize a collective family walk from 10 AM to 11 AM.
Other events are scheduled: Volcanic Touch will host a tournament, a prevention session, and a donation drive at the Stade de la Mourette on October 17th. On October 17th and 18th, the club Beaumont Lutte will donate the proceeds from a tournament in Nègrepelisse to research and patients.
On October 24th, the CPTS du Val d’Artière will set up a prevention and screening awareness stand at the market, near the Mairie (from 8 AM to 12:30 PM), featuring activities like a smoothie bike and a self-palpation bust. Finally, throughout the month, the local branch of the Jardiniers des pays d’Auvergne will decorate its garden along the Artière in pink.
