The Blue Week, celebrated nationally from October 5 to 9, 2026, found a special resonance in Villars, where seniors gathered to share pleasant moments. This event, focused on the well-being of retirees and the elderly, featured a wide range of activities designed for all tastes.
The program included moments of conviviality such as an aperitif karaoke, a bingo game, a dancing tea party, as well as more targeted activities like a cooking workshop, a cinema session, gentle gym classes, a belote card game competition, and a festive dinner. A cultural chat and intergenerational games also enriched the program, fostering exchanges between different generations.
Beyond the proposed activities, Blue Week in Villars highlighted the importance of social connection. It provided a valuable opportunity to share moments with friends, meet new people, learn new skills, and most importantly, have fun. Residents from Les Marronniers and Les Passementiers (Domitys), as well as members of the ARAL and adherents of the Social Center, could testify to the success of these gatherings.
