Set up in the ASPTT gymnasium, the Village PLOUF welcomed nearly 450 schoolchildren and the general public over three days. The objective was to provide better information about floods, an increasingly present risk, and to teach the correct reflexes for protection.
Created 12 years ago, this initiative aims to raise public awareness. After stops in the Ondaine and Gier sectors, the Furan area hosted this event. The free event focused on developing a risk culture for better adaptation and prevention.
The program included 15 educational and fun workshops. These sessions helped participants understand river dynamics, rising water levels, life-saving actions, discover firefighting equipment, and learn methods to make homes more flood-resilient. Riddles, games, field exploration, and simulators were provided by Saint-Étienne Métropole and its partners.
