Disruptions are expected in some of Saint-Étienne's canteens and nurseries on Tuesday, September 29, due to a strike.

The City of Saint-Étienne has announced that disruptions will occur on Tuesday, September 29, in some of the municipality's canteens and nurseries.
Furthermore, the municipality is asking citizens who have suffered property damage resulting from the 2026 drought or the flood on August 9, 2026, to report it to the town hall. The objective is to enable the City of Saint-Étienne to submit a request for natural disaster recognition (CatNat) to state services.
After declaring the incident to your insurer, affected individuals must send their request to the town hall, providing their full contact details (title, address of the damage, phone number…), the date of the event concerned, and a description of the damage accompanied by photos.
Requests can be sent by mail to: mairie de Saint-Etienne, Place de l’Hôtel-de-ville BP 503, 42007 Saint-Étienne, or by email.
