The City of Saint-Étienne, the CPAM of the Loire, and the Regional Cancer Screening Center are organizing free screening campaigns for cervical, breast, and colorectal cancers, as well as HPV vaccination.

Three dates are scheduled for these screenings and HPV vaccination: Friday, October 23rd at the Jacquard market, Friday, November 6th at the amicale laïque du Crêt de Roc, and Friday, December 10th at the Monthieu Montplaisir social center. Hours are from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM for each session. A CPAM reception agent will be present to address inquiries.
The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination is intended for young people aged 11 to 26, upon presentation of their health record.
Screenings for breast and colorectal cancer are walk-in and do not require prior registration. For cervical cancer screening, mandatory telephone registration is required with the health examination center of the CPAM of the Loire at 06 58 93 59 61.
These initiatives are part of the local health plan. Early screening significantly increases the chances of recovery: 9 out of 10 cancers are curable if detected early. For breast cancer, the 5-year survival rate is 99% if detected early. Colorectal cancer is curable in 9 out of 10 cases, and 90% of cervical cancers can be prevented through regular screening.
