The Embarquement immédiat program, initiated by the Quartus Foundation for Architecture, invites young architects to explore Europe, with applications closing on November 5, 2026.

The Quartus Foundation for Architecture, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine, the Atelier parisien d’urbanisme, the AREP group, and the MAF, is launching the Embarquement immédiat program. Co-piloted with Ensa Paris-Est, this initiative aims to enable young architects to discover different ways of thinking about cities and European territories.
Led with journalist and guest curator Emmanuelle Borne, the program will allow laureates to investigate, on-site, the condition of European territories in the face of contemporary challenges and the environmental, economic, political, cultural, and social transitions at play in Europe.
The calendar includes the opening of applications on October 1, 2026, with a deadline of November 5, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Application analysis and finalist designation will occur from November 9 to 25, followed by a jury on December 8 to select 10 laureates. The public announcement of the laureates is scheduled for the week of December 14, 2026.
The trips will take place in Europe between February 1 and August 31, 2027, lasting between 4 and 6 consecutive weeks. Financial aid will be provided based on a daily allowance of 150 euros/day, with a maximum of 6,300 euros for a 6-week trip. This support is intended as an aid, not full funding.
A second meeting of the Club Embarquement immédiat is planned for September 2027 to refine the restitution project, with an exhibition to be held in Spring 2028 at the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine.
