The Paladru-Fure zone, which includes the municipality of Voiron, is placed on reinforced alert level. Water usage restrictions apply to everyone to preserve the resource.
Faced with the deteriorating hydrological situation, reinforced measures are being implemented in the Paladru-Fure zone.
The main restrictions concern watering of vegetation (prohibited for lawns, hedges, flowerbeds, ornamental trees, potted plants; vegetable gardens prohibited from 9 am to 8 pm; stadiums and sports fields from 11 am to 6 pm), swimming pools (filling and emptying prohibited, refilling from 7 am to 11 pm), washing and cleaning (home car washing, facades, sidewalks prohibited unless by professionals), fountains and water features (open-circuit fountains prohibited, water features prohibited unless using recycled water or necessary for public health).
It is also prohibited to fill, maintain the level, and empty leisure water bodies for personal use, as well as to supply ponds and reservoirs by diverting watercourses. Any withdrawal from watercourses is prohibited, and withdrawals from groundwater and canals are prohibited from 9 am to 8 pm. Pumping devices must be removed from watercourses.
These measures aim to limit consumption and preserve water resources.
