The City of Saint-Martin-d'Hères is seeking input from its residents regarding the development of car-sharing services in the area, aiming to align the offering with local needs and promote more sustainable mobility.

The municipality of Saint-Martin-d’Hères is initiating a public consultation with its residents concerning the expansion of car-sharing services within its territory. The goal is to gather the expectations of Martinérois residents and pinpoint the most suitable locations for new self-service vehicle stations.
Car-sharing provides a flexible mobility option, complementing public transport, cycling, and walking. It allows individuals to use a vehicle on demand without the need for ownership, by reserving it for a specific period and returning it to its designated station.
Currently, Saint-Martin-d’Hères operates 9 car-sharing stations with 13 vehicles. Further expansions are being considered in collaboration with the cooperative Citiz Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the City, and the SMMAG.
A questionnaire is available to residents to assess their travel habits and requirements. The results will inform decisions on future station placements.
The City emphasizes that resident participation is crucial in shaping the future mobility solutions for the community.
