This Monday, October 5th, the 2026 Solidarity Autumn began in Saint-Étienne-de-Saint-Geoirs with the forum 'Aging Well at Home,' organized by the CCAS on the Town Hall square.

A morning dedicated to information, prevention, and support for seniors and their loved ones took place on Monday, October 5th, focusing on the essential question of living at home as long as possible, safely and maintaining autonomy. Numerous local stakeholders were present to inform and advise the public, including the Department of Isère, La Caravelle, La Ricandelle, Digital Helpers, ORGECO 38, ADMR, and France Alzheimer.
Mayor Michel Veyron, accompanied by Dominique Blanchet, Deputy Mayor for Solidarity and Vice-President of the CCAS, Liliane Billard, Deputy Mayor and President of ADMR, along with several municipal elected officials and gendarmes from the Saint-Étienne brigade, met with participants. This event highlights the ambition of Solidarity Autumn: to prevent, support, inform, and foster intergenerational connections.
The Solidarity Autumn program will continue until October 31st with an exhibition on breast cancer screening at the Town Hall (with the Asalée network), a 'Marche Rose' (Pink Walk) on Saturday, October 17th, at the Daleure stadium to benefit the fight against this disease, as well as a Padel tournament and a dance demonstration on the same day, organized by TCM for 'Les Merveilleuses'.
Saturday, October 17th will also feature six women in remission from breast cancer participating in a solidarity parachute jump from the airport, in partnership with the local parachuting club, the Alpine Breast Institute, and 'Les Merveilleuses'. On Sunday, October 18th, a solidarity rugby event is scheduled at the Daleure stadium with ribbon sales, fundraising, and a prevention stand.
Further initiatives are planned for November, including an exhibition on raising awareness about intra-family violence at the Town Hall from November 2nd to 15th, accompanied by video capsules. On Saturday, November 21st at 8 PM, the Salle des Spectacles will host the play 'Résiste 2,' presented by the Ateliers de Mélénymie for 'Les Merveilleuses'.
Throughout the autumn, the Town of Saint-Étienne-de-Saint-Geoirs and its CCAS, along with their numerous partners, are committed to solidarity through proximity, listening, and action.
