The first presentation meeting focused on the functioning of the term, the organization of meetings and commissions, and the projects that the young people can imagine and undertake over the next two years. Mayor Michel Veyron congratulated the new officials on their commitment, highlighting their role in participating in communal life and contributing to new projects for Saint-Étienne-de-Saint-Geoirs.
Tribute was also paid to the former CMJ elected officials for their dedication, enthusiasm, and the work accomplished. The latter shared their experiences and presented their missions to the new members. The evening was attended by Yann Gondrand, Deputy for schooling, Monique Venon, President of the CMJ commission, as well as Dominique Blanchet, Patrick Rambert, Karine Biolay, and Sandrine Lazaro.
A new civic adventure begins for these 18 young elected officials, full of ideas and projects. The next important event will be the commemorative ceremony on November 11th, which will mark the handover of power between the old and new CMJ.
