On the occasion of the 108th anniversary of the Armistice of November 11, 1918, the municipality of Ruy-Montceau is inviting the public to commemorative ceremonies to be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2026. This day of remembrance aims to pay tribute to those who gave their lives for France, remember the suffering of World War I, and transmit the importance of peace to younger generations.
The ceremony program will begin at 10:15 AM in Montceau with a ceremony at the Monument aux Morts, followed at 11:00 AM in Ruy by another ceremony at the Monument aux Morts.
Following the commemorations, a moment of conviviality will be shared with participants at the Bar Pizzeria Le Zeste, located at 305 rue de la Salière in Ruy-Montceau.
These ceremonies are open to all residents, families, younger generations, and representatives of associations. The presence of each individual contributes to keeping this collective memory alive and perpetuating an important event in the life of our commune. Guy Rabuel, mayor of Ruy-Montceau, and the Municipal Council invite the public to join in this tribute.
