The Georges Lavaudant hall at MC2 Grenoble has finished major upgrades to its computerized fly system control, compliant with standard EN 17 206, at a cost of 1.7 million euros.

The Georges Lavaudant hall at MC2 Grenoble has just completed significant upgrades to its computerized fly system control, in accordance with the EN 17 206 standard. This technical area, located above the stage, manages everything that contributes to the magic of performances: pulleys, cables, battens supporting sets, lighting, sound, or video, as well as walkways.
The new computerized fly system allows for computer-controlled command, programming, and synchronization of the vertical movement of these equipment. This modernization promises premium-level logistical conditions for artists and the public.
These works, with a total cost of 1.7 million euros, were financed by Grenoble Alpes Métropole. They were carried out by the agency BC Maintenance Équipements Mobiles and the machine manufacturer Waagner-Biro Stage Systems.
The EN 17 206 standard governs stage machinery installations and sets safety objectives.
