The Le Grésivaudan Community of Communes is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Air Wood Grant program, which has disbursed over €4.2 million to replace more than 3,000 wood heating appliances.

During periods of extreme cold, fine particles from inefficient wood heating can account for up to 75% of airborne particles. To combat this pollution, the program has supported residents in replacing their old heating units.
Thanks to these grants, nearly 100 tons of fine particles have been avoided, equivalent to the emissions of 10 million cars driving 10,000 km per year.
Funded by ADEME and locally managed in collaboration with the neighboring territories of the Grenoble Metropolis and the Pays Voironnais, this scrappage scheme, established in 2016, aims to reduce particle emissions and improve air quality.
Recognizing that air quality concerns everyone, the Le Grésivaudan Community of Communes encourages residents to take the step and replace their wood heating appliance with a more efficient and less polluting model.
