MC2 Grenoble is spotlighting five prominent artists for its new cultural season, celebrating music, creativity, and generosity. These artists, whom the MC2 team is delighted to welcome, promise varied and memorable artistic experiences.
Singer Raphaël, a fixture on stage for over 20 years, will present Karaoké, a visual and musical show conceived with Cyril Teste. Accompanied by musicians, he will revisit his own songs and those of other performers, following in the vein of the productions Festen and La Mouette which left a mark on the Grenoble audience.
Angélique Kidjo, a prominent Franco-Beninese musician, will celebrate the richness of African cultures with Symphonie africaine. Accompanied by the Orchestre des Alpes et du Léman and guests, she will blend traditional African chants with symphonic composition in a spirit of transmission and reinvention.
The company La Tempête, led by Simon-Pierre Bestion, will present Orlando, a transdisciplinary work inspired by Virginia Woolf's novel and composer Orlando Di Lasso. This performance explores the character of an individual with a thousand lives across centuries.
Swiss artist Stephan Eicher will perform solo in Seul en scène (On Stage Alone), directed by François Gremaud. He will share his journey, memories, and revisit his hits, blending concert and theatre in a sensitive self-portrait.
Finally, Yael Naim will present her latest album, Solaire, in an exceptional live performance. The Franco-Israeli artist will offer a sensory journey enhanced by surprising and immersive scenography, fifteen years after gracing international stages with her hit song New soul.
